I am somewhat technologically challenged. The layout of the guestbook is ugly and the size of it is too small. I have trouble reading all the messages let alone replying them. Actually, there is no way for me to reply either. I am looking for a way to create a guestbook rather than using the embeded one. If you come across any good source code for guestbook, please let me know. Thanks!

I decided to talk about copyright issue as possible plagiarism of my work was mentioned after I translated a Chinese poem.
Someone recently informed me that there is a translation contest hosted by National Taiwan University. Not knowing about the contest, I have recently translated Bai Juyi’s《因望月有感，聊書所懷》and posted my translation of that poem on my website. One of my readers was afraid that someone who is about to enter the contest might plagiarize my translation work. To counteract plagiarism of my work carried out by anyone entering the contest, I have already sent my translation of that poem along with the links to my blog articles to National Taiwan University for their reference. This way, if they do find anyone plagiarizing my translation, they can disqualify that person's entry. Beware, National Taiwan University has indicated in its website that the plagiarist's real name will be revealed to the public if plagiarism is found.
Be careful, you might be next if you continue copying others' articles as your own, reposting other's articles without the authors' consent or sharing any song or media not written by you online.

I am always struggling to find time for myself. There are so many things to do, yet so little time. Hence, reading blogs is the last thing on my mind. If I find time to read blogs, I would always try to read blogs related to Taiwan. Though I have been away from Taiwan for a long time, I still find Taiwan irresistible. In addition, all my families except my brother live in Taiwan.
Some of you might have known that I have a very strong political preference. I only talk about it at my personal blog where I have set restrictions on who can comment on my articles. The main reason is to prevent unwelcome messages and to get into pointless debates since I am neither a polished diplomat nor a savvy politician. I usually try to forewarn my readers of any article I wrote that may contain my political bitching. This way, everyone is happy. You choose what you would like to read and I choose what I like to write. That is the freedom of speech, the freedom of press so long as belittling, direct personal attack, or point-blank insinuation is not involved. What we don’t want to see is the proliferation of Nazis and the condoning of Nazi-like behaviors. If you have read my book review of “The Book Thief”, you would know what I meant.
I was surprised to find my article - ergative verb (http://elisaenglish.pixnet.net/blog/post/639403 & http://tw.group.knowledge.yahoo.com/english-forum/article/view?aid=11) showing up on someone else's article. One (http://hi.baidu.com/hdwangqinghua/blog/item/3a9cf533d8849144ad4b5f37.html) referred back to knowledge group where I also published that article, so I wasn't so mad. But the other person called "eliza123" 旋 using a nickname very similar to my name answering a question at 北大中文论坛 http://www.pkucn.com/viewthread.php?tid=226387 decided to be a copycat and copied every single word I wrote without referring to the source, my article.
I am still thinking of what to do next. I know that pirating is very popular in China and the Chinese cares little about copyright. Maybe I will send a note to 北大中文论坛 to inform them of the copyright issue.

I find something interesting today, so I thought to give it a try. It is a website that allows you to create polls in your blog. I cannot think of any interesting poll question at this moment, so please bear with me and my lousy question while I try out this gizmo.
How to become a member of pixnet and be able to leave me a message?
A few of you have stated the frustration with signing up for a pixnet account. It is actually pretty easy. I am sorry that I have requested you to be a member of pixnet in order to leave me messages and also to be added as my friend to be able to leave comments on my article. All these are set up to discourage some people from sabotaging my articles and to protect myself from any vicious attack. It helps me to ban inappropriate messages and be able to blacklist any reader with a hidden agenda.
Many of you might have a blog at Yahoo and wonder how you can move to another blog service provider. I would like to share my experience with you.
Initially, I was pondering whether to move my blog to Blogspot or Wordpress. I was told that there is not a way to directly move all my blog entries from Yahoo to either one. I will have to do it via Pixnet. This is how it is done.
First, you have to open a pixnet blog account.

Even though I don't know the people who visit my blog or those who leave messages to me, I would still like to ask that you use the same nickname that you used when visiting my previous blog at Yahoo. Since I do not restrict who can leave messages on my blog, and you can come up with any nickname you like, I do ask that you use the same nickname on my blog all the time to prevent any confusion that I might have. This way, it helps me to track who you are and what questions you have asked in the past.

I was told that the only way to move my blog from Yahoo to either Blogspot or Wordpress is through Pixnet. So I have made the first move. I wasn't expecting such a quick response from Pixnet. In less than 5 seconds, all my articles were copied from Yahoo to Pixnet. That is really fast. I am very impressed. Anyway, since I am still debating whether to move to Blogspot or WordPress from here, I am going to stay here for a while. Maybe I will stay here. Who knows? I am a lazy person. I am sorry to have to drag you along with this move.
I am wondering if there is a way to allow the readers to vote for usefulness of each article. It will be interesting to know what the readers like the most and which articles they find most useful.

By now, you might have noticed the clock and the temperature displayed on my blog. I thought that it would be interesting for you to get to know more about me, in addition to how much time that I have devoted to answering people’s questions, probably every waking and sleeping moment.
Right now, as we speak, it is 4:15 pm. I am getting off from work. By the way, I work from home on Fridays, so I can start work early and end it early. Furthermore, I don’t have to take too much time off from taking the kids to the doctors’. You know how it is with little children. They are magnets to virus and bacteria.

About my blog
I recently had a lunch with my colleague and mentioned to her my blog, the involvement I have at Yahoo Knowledge and the suggestion that my husband brought up. My husband thought that even though I am providing free service, I could still take advantage of my blog earning some extra income. The kind that some people do by allowing some companies to post their ads on their blogs. I don’t know the mechanism of that. I will look into it when I have time. Anyway, when I mentioned this to my colleague, she asked for my blog address and volunteered to proof-read my articles if she happens to visit my site. I am really glad to have another set of eyes to increase the accuracy of the information I provide. My goal has always been trying to provide better and more accurate English usage through my blog and all my knowledge groups.
I once learned about Yahoo’s analytical tool from a blog I read. I thought that it would be interesting to find out more about how people get to my site. I am assuming that it is mostly directed from Yahoo Knowledge. Even though I have a blog from Yahoo, I could not find that analytical tool. Recently, I did a search on this topic and found out that the functionality is there but you will have to apply to get one. Anyway, I decided to give it a try. I don’t know if it will work because I am a computer idiot. I will let you know what happened.
