I cannot help but post this news here since I am a graduate from Washington University in St. Louis, aka, Wash U.  I take great pride as an alumnus, so you can imagine how glad I am to hear this news.  I have only good things to say about Wash U.  I met my husband there too.  I like my school and would highly recommend my school to anyone who is interested in its MBA program.

Its social work program ranks number 1 in the states.  See http://grad-schools.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/best-graduate-schools/top-social-work-schools/rankings

Its medical school ranks among the top three every year along with John Hopkins and Harvard University.  See http://grad-schools.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/best-graduate-schools/top-medical-schools/research-rankings

Other schools that rank among the top 20 are business school and law school.

See http://grad-schools.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/best-graduate-schools/top-business-schools/rankings

There are other schools which I am not that familiar with, so I am unable to talk about them.  Anyway, once in a while, I feel good to have something to boast of.

** Somehow, I cannot get the school logo to show up.  Anyway, this is the email.

Greetings Olin alumni and friends!

Washington University’s Olin Business School is #2 on BusinessWeek’s list for best career placement of 2009 full-time MBA graduates from the nation’s leading business schools (specifically, the percent of graduates reporting job offers 90 days post graduation). Despite the worst economy since the Great Depression, 92% of Olin’s 2009 MBAs reported job offers – second only to Yale.

We are equally proud of our BSBAs' career placement  – 90 days post graduation, 94% reported job offers!

Even better than a #2 ranking is knowing that our graduates are working for some of the most admired, innovative and successful companies in the world.

This is an achievement of our students, who worked hard to get these jobs, of our programs that prepared them to be career-ready and confident, and of our alumni and friends who opened opportunities for our students. Thank you for responding to our calls for job leads and enriching our students' experience with internships, consulting projects and mentoring.

We'll have more outstanding talent in the Classes of 2010 and 2011. Please contact our Weston Career Center director Mark Brostoff (brostoff@wustl.edu or 314-935-5950) with employment opportunities and questions about recruiting Olin graduates and interns.

Our very best to you, and thank you for your part in elevating Olin to national prominence.
