Robert Browning’s quote "Ah, but a man's reach should exceed his grasp -- or what's a heaven for?" means “One should reach for more than they can see or get their hands on or grasp or touch”
I don’t know how to better translate this in Chinese. My husband thought that it would be better translated as "把眼光放遠".
I saw a question asking about the quotes from Le Petit Prince, so I read the entire book written in English (in a few hours) with French version on the side. It is an interesting story. There are so many things that the author was trying to tell us. I didn't expect the ending and was a little saddened.
This is a compilation from my reading. The Chinese translation is based upon my translation of the English version of Le Petit Prince.
