請問英文句型 dare 和 need

You daren't climb that tree, dare you?
You daren't climb that tree, do you?

The difference is whether “dare” and “need” are used as “verbs” 動詞 or “auxiliary verbs” 助動詞

(1)

You daren't climb that tree, dare you?
You daren't climb that tree, do you?
請問那一個對?
為什麼?

You daren't climb that tree, dare you? (對)

=>  dare 當助動詞

For example:

John daren’t fight with Mary, dare he?  (remember: the word is "dare" as an auxiliary verb, not "dares")

John must go to the dentist, mustn’t he?

Or

You don’t dare to climb that tree, do you? (對)
=> dare 當動詞

For example:

John does not dare to fight with Mary, does he?

John dares not fight with Mary, doesn’t he?

She needs to wash the car, needn't she?
She needs to wash the car, doesn't she?

請問那一個對?
為什麼?

She needs to wash the car, doesn't she? (對)

=> need 當動詞

For example:

John does not need to go to school, does he?

John needs not go to school, does he?

Or

She need wash the car, needn’t she? (對)

=> need 當助動詞  (remember: the word is "need" as an auxiliary verb, not "needs")

For example:

John needn’t do the homework, need he?

John mustn’t go to the dentist, must he?
