Today, I am not going to talk about the game. Rather, I would like to talk about our teaching philosophy and our child-rearing theory.
I don’t eat much sweet but I do from time to time indulge myself in chocolate. Not much, probably close to a dozen pieces of Dove chocolates a week. That weights roughly 3.25 oz. There are roughly 35 pieces in a bag, so I would go through them in probably 3 weeks. I don’t always buy them and stack them in my office. This way, I won’t eat more than I need to. So, in a year, I would probably only go through 2-3 bags at most.
Snow Sledding
My son recently asked to invite his friends over for play dates and he indicated that one of his friends would like to come over to our house again for snow sledding like they did last year. I have no idea how long our slope is. I know that it is longer than 2 stories high. I kept giving out wrong information to people. Anyway, to set the record straight, I decided to ask my husband. He said to me that the slope should be roughly 50 feet long (about 15 meters or 16.67 yards). Okay, now you have it. Our neighbor, two houses next to ours, has a slope of close to 70 feet long (about 21 meters or 23.33 yards). My son’s school, within 5 minutes walking distance, has a slope close to 200 feet (about 6o meters or 66.67 yards).

If you have been faithfully reading my articles, you probably have come across an article that I wrote in rage, stating that I am ashamed to be associated with any so-called Taiwanese (who do not truly identify themselves as Taiwanese but in camouflage disguise themselves as one), eager to comprise any Taiwanese human rights, afraid to intimidate the Communist China, looking out for their own short-term interest, or just plain dreaming to unite with China and be part of a Communist Chinese. I am proud to be a Taiwanese. Whenever people ask if I am a Chinese, my answer would always be “NO, I am a TAIWANESE”. To me, Taiwan is not and has never been part of the Communist China. I am sad that some Taiwanese had elected Ma to be the Taiwanese President when he never admits to be or once in his action acts like a Taiwanese President because he never thinks of Taiwan as a country.
