文法分析 (1) - 現在分詞 - 分詞構句

I recently came across this question about the grammar structure of the following sentence.  The asker is confused with the length of the sentence and cannot understand the grammar structure at all.

What if you could swallow a swarm of microscopic robots that would roll through the passageways of your body sorting out any medical needs you may have?

I read the answers of the question and there is one that is pretty accurate; however, it didn’t explain why the sentence is structured that way.

My explanation as always is to break down the sentence.

What would happen if you could swallow a swarm of microscopic robots?

What are the functions of these robots?

=> These robots would roll through the passageways of your body.

These robots would sort out any medical needs that you may have

This is the combined sentence.

What would happen if you could swallow a swarm of microscopic robots (that would roll through the passageways of your body and that would sort out any medical needs that you may have)?

Replace “and that would sort” with “, sorting” – present participle.  Omit “would happen” and “that”.

What if you could swallow a swarm of microscopic robots that would roll through the passageways of your body, sorting out any medical needs you may have?

Isn’t it much clearer now?
