I thought that this would be an interesting game to play. One day as I look back, I might be amused with all these. Would you like to guess how long it will take me to quit answering questions from Yahoo Knowledge completely?
To give you some background, I started answering questions for Yahoo Knowledge since March 2008. About two weeks later, I thought of quitting because 65% of my best answers were removed (35 out of 55). The reason for that massive removal was because of my comment on a bad translation of an answerer. The second time that I thought of quitting was about 2 months later, the time when I have about another 58 best answers removed. (The removal rate was then at 30%) The massive removal was due to my comment on my disagreement with a well respected person’s translation. I was attacked for making my comment and questioned for my motive. In addition, it might also result from my comment on correct word usage and grammar to some answerers. The third time that I thought of quitting was about one month ago when I had another 26 best answers removed, along with the comments from the askers that my answers were too complicated to be understood and the concept that I introduced might not even be known by the Taiwanese English teachers. I got frustrated with wasting my time providing so much detail, and at the end, the asker would rather pick an answer that he/she could understand even though it was incomplete or not completely accurate. It makes me wonder why I even bothered.
Okay! This probably gives you enough information to make a guess.
